Physically accessible
Through specialist equipment, fully accessible facilities and expert staff.
The North East's only fully accessible gym
A specialist gym for wheelchair users and people with physical disabilities, in Gateshead and Benton. Stronger, healthier, more independent, together.

Our mission

Through specialist equipment, fully accessible facilities and expert staff.

By keeping membership to just £20 per month, thanks to our funders, donors and fundraisers.

By creating a welcoming, supportive community where everyone feels they belong.

Our founder
We have created a one-of-a-kind gym space, purpose built for wheelchair users, including the availability of specialist personal trainers. Located in Longbenton, Newcastle and also in Gateshead, we have two gyms which can be used by our members.
Our slogan is "Making Exercise Accessible". This refers to our aim of making exercise both physically and financially accessible to people with physical disabilities. This is made possible by the fundraising work we do and grants from our sponsors that help subsidise the costs for our service users.
We believe that physically disabled people have the right to exercise in an accessible, safe and fun environment. Exercise has a number of physical and mental health benefits, this is no different for disabled people than it is for anybody else. With a focus on these positive benefits we want to create a gym atmosphere rather than a clinical atmosphere, whether in our online content or at our premises.

Read our storyWhy we exist
At Gym Possible, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the physical, mental and social benefits of exercise. More than just a gym, we are a community that helps people build confidence, improve independence and form lasting friendships and achieve things they never thought possible.
Our gyms are specifically tailored to highly motivated people with physical disabilities. Gym members are free to use the gym any time it is open, without booking an appointment.

We have various specialist equipment available in our gyms to cater for people with all disabilities.

Disabled parking, lifts, wide entrances, automatic doors and accessible changing facilities. We are equipped to make things as easy as possible for our users.

From £20 per month, our gym is low cost so it is financially accessible for as many people as possible.

We have personal trainers available who can offer 1-1 sessions, should you wish to purchase individual sessions or blocks.
